Cultural Venue with Brutalist Architecture
10km south/est from Paris
Description
This cultural venue is housed in a building with a bold Brutalist architectural identity.
Entirely designed around curved forms, it showcases raw concrete articulated by strong vertical striations.
The main entrance, set at an elevated level, offers a highly urban view over a cluster of administrative buildings. The forecourt terrace can be privatized and provides easy logistical access, allowing trucks to be brought directly close to the site.
At the rear, the façade opens harmoniously onto a public garden and a lake, creating a striking contrast between the building’s mineral character and the surrounding landscape.
The interior offers a wide variety of visual settings: dark corridors, landings with raw concrete walls echoing the exterior façade, and a former abandoned restaurant, ideal for fashion shoots.
A vast entrance hall features a bar and cafeteria, as well as a sunken area overlooked by a mezzanine. The lower hall is particularly well suited for tracking shots and walk-through scenes.
The venue also includes three performance halls, one of which is very large and can accommodate over 1,000 people, as well as a more intimate auditorium, ideal for recreating a rehearsal-room setting.
