14th-century church in a small town

75km north/east from Paris

Description

This magnificent church provides an exceptional setting for film and television productions. Its bell tower, dating back to the 12th century, bears witness to its medieval origins, while the two naves and the choir, rebuilt in the 16th century, reflect the evolution of its architecture over the centuries.

The building is structured around three large arches that create a remarkable sense of scale and openness. Its Renaissance portal is adorned with finely carved memento mori motifs, characteristic of 16th-century craftsmanship. Beautiful stained-glass windows fill the interior with coloured light and are dedicated to the local lord of the region.

The choir is further enhanced by a remarkable 17th-century carved wooden altar, whose rich decorative details complement the architecture perfectly.

With its authenticity and the diversity of its architectural features, this church offers a characterful and highly versatile backdrop, particularly well suited to period dramas, historical productions, heritage documentaries, and premium photo shoots.
